FAQs

I’m interested in booking your services for my wedding. What do I do now?

There is an easy workflow for you to follow. Weddings are stressful enough! Fill out your information on the contact page and let me know your wedding date, wedding location and package of interest. I can respond with availability and answer any question you may have. When you are ready to reserve my services, I will send a contract for services and an invoice for payment. A non-refundable retainer of $600 reserves that date for you. No dates are considered reserved until the signed contract and retainer is received. The remainder of the payment is due in full 21 days before the wedding date. Payment plans are acceptable. Contracts are between the principals only.

Do you help with the planning process?

I am happy to share my experience and assist with any questions you may have. Together we can develop a timeline to make sure to capture all the special moments and family pictures to savor for years to come.

What is your turnaround?

My delivery for wedding images is 8 wks. For portrait sessions, I deliver within 3 weeks after images are chosen. I can deliver expedited service for an additional fee.

What is your reschedule policy?

For weddings in this time of Covid, your retainer can be used to change the date once to a future date up to one year from the wedding date at no additional contracted cost. Subsequent reschedules incur a new retainer if in the same year as contracted and a new contract.

What if I have to cancel?

If you cancel a wedding after booking, I would return all the fees except the retainer to you. The retainer secures a particular date in which all other couples and business are turned away. The remedy for cancellation is loss of the retainer fee.

What happens if you can’t be at our wedding as planned?

In the event I can’t be at your wedding for an unforeseen reason or illness, I will send an experienced associate in my place to capture your day. I would be responsible for all the editing and delivery to you.

What photo equipment do you use?

I use full frame Canon professional cameras, with multiple fast prime, macro and zoom lenses. I am skilled in working in available light and with off camera flash. Though the best light will always be early in the day or later in the afternoon, we can work together indoors and out planning for the best outcome.

What images will be delivered?

I edit for excellent bright prints. The digital edited files provided will be high resolution (300 dpi), from 7 - 12 mb average in size. Your online gallery will have a link to download the large print files to your computer and a button to download smaller files for social media sharing as well via web or phone.

I edit on professional editing software including Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, which process the raw digital negatives into jpg files suitable for printing or sharing digitally. Raw files are not included in the packages.

Covid measures?

I am following the common sense precautions to prevent the spread of Covid. I have been keeping to a small bubble of family, drive separately, avoid close contact as I can, and work outside or with good ventilated areas. Though I am fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid 19 and flu, I will keep my distance and photograph masked inside if 6 ft distance can’t be maintained if you desire. I am doing my best to stay safe and well so I can be at your event and other’s events. Please advise if you are experiencing any symptoms of fever or illness. If I test positive, I will search for a replacement wedding photographer within my large network, and alert you to my status.

FAQ for Portrait Sessions

How do I book you for my shoot?

Booking is easy! Reach out with what you are looking for, I will let you know my availability. I send an agreement to digitally sign and request a $50 retainer in advance of our shoot. The remainder is due before I will shoot your images.

What happens is the weather is not cooperating?

It’s always good to have a plan B in case of poor weather. I’m open to accommodation and will be in contact with you several times before our shoot. On the day of our shoot, I will need confirmation before I leave for the location that you will be there.

What should I wear?

Good question! There are definitely some colors that make beautiful captures. Happy to work with you on choices to bring out beautiful tones in your images.

What time should I get there?

I will be there on time and most likely early to evaluate the location. Your scheduled time is booked just for you. If you are late, it may take away time from your portrait session.
